Worth the £50Searched everywhere for a bottom fixing white plastic seat that seemed to be the right size for my WC and was pleased I found this one so ordered it . Just received and fitted it - it looks fine but beware the sizing. The holes in my WC pan are on 15 inch centres and the information sheet on the Bemis website suggests it can accommodate hole spacings from 14.5 in to 16.5 ins so should be fine. However the seat can only be fitted properly with spacings of 14.5, 15.5 and 16.5 ins exactly and does not accommodate spacings in between (unless I am missing something). Using the nearest seat fitting spacing of 15 in, the studs on the seat are close to the outside edges of the holes in the WC and there is therefore no space to fit the washers/bungs that are designed to fill the space around the studs as they pass through the holes, presumably to prevent movement of the seat. I have therefore had to fit mine without the washers. It seems firm at the moment that only time will tell if it works loose.The slow close for the lid works fine (although a bit slow as others have commented) but the seat does not close until closed manually to around 45 deg.
